NATURAL HAIR GROWTH?!??!?!?

ok so I'm like sort of going natural (haha no more perms!!) but I have been straightening it every week (using natural products) I just wanted to kno if my hair will grow faster is I dont straighten it. I found this braidout style where I have it braided in the front and I braid it in the back and take it out in the morning and its crimpy and wavy-ish. I was just wondering if that would promote my hair growth and if soo how many inches?? please and thank you :]]NATURAL HAIR GROWTH?!??!?!?
Yes, straightening your hair weekly will stunt the growth of your hair. Adding heat stretches the bonds in your hair and makes it more susceptible to breaking. Regardless of using natural products, you are still placing heat on your hair.

Typically you can expect your hair to grow about 1-3 inches per month, however, with straightening your hair, you could be stunting it. It's difficult to tell you how fast your hair will grow because everyone's hair growth is different.

The best thing you can do for your hair is to limit the number of times your straighten your hair...perhaps once a month is better, or once every two months for special occasions.

Good luck on your natural hair care journey. And check out blackhairmedia.com.NATURAL HAIR GROWTH?!??!?!?
On average, hair grows 1/2 inch per month, or 6 inches per year. That's 1 inch every 2 months. Nothing can speed up your hair growth because this is determined by your genetics.

Your hair will continue to grow from the scalp the same amount it's been growing over the years, nothing will change with that; your hair won't start growing faster or slower because you switched to a different chemical process or decided to go without chemicals, none of that plays a role in hair growth. You just have to be patient and let it grow. Be careful with straightening because you don't want to permanently damage your natural hair with all the heat. The style your doing now is great for length retention, but again, nothing can affect hair growth from the scalp.
